Kids craft with Wild Card collection | American crafts DT

Hi American Crafts fans! Are you ready for a fantastic crafting afternoon with your kids? Today I’m sharing an easy-peasy and super fun summer craft project which I made with my daughter on a rainy day. This time we decided to create a colorful banner to decorate my daughter’s room. To start, we grabbed circle punches and some cute ephemera pieces or stickers from the Wild Card collection.

To create the 3D animals, we chose matching colored cardstock papers from the project pad to each ephemera pieces and used circle punches in different size depending on the size of the ephemera piece we wanted to use. We cut out 6 circles to every cardstock.

Then, we folded in half 5 circles, and glued them together. First, we added glue to the back of the first half circle and then align the next half circle directly onto the first. To create a perfect paper ornament, we made sure that it’s perfectly even on all sizes.  Then, we added the remaining three circles with the same technique.

Next, we chose a cute animal or ice cream ephemera piece, and cut it in half. We adhered the two parts to the back of the paper ornament and covered the back with the sixth the circle we punched out earlier.

We couldn’t resist creating 12 pieces from these adorable 3D embellishments, more than enough for a nice banner over Kitti’s bed.  We attached the pieces with a baker twine and used a hot glue gun to keep them in place.

If you have some cute ephemera pieces at home, why not make a one-of-a-kind banner? Your kids will love putting together this adorable home decoration, and they can even create specific pieces to match their room.
