Layout with Goldenrod collection | American Crafts DT

I’m so excited to kick off the week on the American Crafts blog with a layout using the brand new and incredibly beautiful Goldenrod collection from 1 Canoe 2.  The natural colors and flowers in this collection are so gorgeous and would be perfect for all kinds of summer or fall time occasions.

It all started with the Raleigh Floral pattern paper. I love LOVE love those beautiful flowers and wanted them to be the main focus of my layout, so I took some time fussy cutting them. First I cut out all the flowers and leaves from the smaller 6x6 paper then I turned to the 12x12 version.   

Next, I trimmed the Golden Quotes paper diagonally almost in half and adhered to the grey Summer’s Trails paper. I placed my photo slightly to the left from the center and layered white tissue paper and patterned paper pieces behind.

Then came the fussy cut flowers! I created two clusters next to the photo following the edge of the rose paper. I created a third cluster on the top right of the layout to balance out the first two and to create a visual triangle. Here I used a paper doily, puffy sticker, and some more fussy cut flowers.  The ‘Better together’ title from the phrases thicker sheet was just perfect for my page and it’s so elegant with the gold shine!

The lemon cardstock sticker with the ‘Squeeze the day!’ sentiment is just adorable, I placed it to the right side of the photo. I then went ahead and added a tag with my journaling above the lemon sticker.

Maybe you wonder how I decorated the flowers with those tiny sparkling dots! I used the gold Moxy glitter glue to create them. It was super easy and they dried in 10 minutes! Those tiny details are my favorites always!
