Hi friends, I'm back to the Crate Paper blog today. I was pretty excited when I found out that I was assigned for this week’s theme – special skills! I instantly knew that my project will be something colorful, practical but totally unusual! What I love the most about scrapbooking is that I can always challenge my creativity and trying to find new ways to use the beautiful papers and embellishments!
This time I decided to create an organizer with a lot of paper pockets and clips. I love the fact that I can store my tiny lists and papers in the pockets but this organizer is a pretty decoration on my wall also.
To start, I grabbed a wood frame and chose patterned paper for my background. Then I cut three paper pockets using several papers from the 6x8 paper pad. To add more texture I decided to do a chain link stitch on the top of the pockets. I machine stitched the pockets to the background and embellished them with stickers. I also added a beautiful sequins flower to the top.
On the top left, I adhered two wood clips to the background paper. They are perfect for holding notes or to do lists, bookmarks.
Finally, I cut two pieces from the decorative trim and stitched them to the background. I placed tags, notes and a pen behind them.
I hope this gives some fun ideas to try with your scrapbooking stash! It’s so much fun creating your own organizer! Give it a go next time! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfully scrappy weekend!
